In many private medical and engineering colleges of India, donations are demanded as a condition for admissions.
Kindly list all issues related to hefty donations. If you have faced a situation and would like to report a specific instance, please do so. The objective here is to see these corrupt practices can be curtailed through systemic changes in the system.
We also know that many of these donations extremely high and lead to many parents taking loans, doing unethical things for getting their wards into college. It is the start of a corrupt chain as many of these students attempt to recover this donation via unethical means in their professional field.

Corruption in Medical/Engg Education. There is no need of listing issues and finding the root cause etc. Donations are demanded in cash for admission to medical/engineering courses from students with low marks. Circulating black money is usually paid for such purposes. All applications, fees, admission online only. Demonetize to stop black money circulation and create a cashless society. No other short cuts to solve this problem.

Medical/Engineering/Management Colleges have been set as businesses to earn money, and demanding and receiving donations in cash is the easiest way to do so. There is no use crying ourselves hoarse on this issue. What can be done is to set up a system where quality education is available to students. Admissions should be necessarily through an All India Test to examine students on their Mental Aptitude, Thinking Ability etc, which Test will allot Grades/Scores, and all Private Colleges will be required to admit all students above a cut off Grade, which will be prominently displayed prominently in the Advertisement of the College. This Exam will be on the pattern of 'GATE'. Employment of Teaching Faculty in all such Colleges should also be merit based, selection to be on the basis of a similar All India Test, and not on the basis of '100% placement of pass-outs' from the same College.

In private engineering colleges of rajasthan, this trend of donations is prevalent. I jad experienced it myself during my college admission. One college demanded 2lakhs, another demanded 3lakhs and the third one demanded 1.5 lakh. When i approached this 3rd college's admission coordinator, he didn't orally told me the amount but typed it in his mobile and showed to me and said "if u want this branch then arrange this much amount".

The modus operandi is similar to MP scam. They identify the answer sheet/paper checkers and then bribe them to get good marks. In many institutions there is counseling for those who had cleared the test. Now what is this counseling? This is the time when bargaining is done. I have seen people with bags full of hard cash come for the counseling of their wards.

in india, other than govt quota all medical seats are been solved, everyone in the world knows ..but our taxes are been utilised for medical students and they are not ready to serve for the common public--same thing for engg also..whether it will be solved
