Corruption in Mumbai - How does it impact YOU
I had started some dialogue when I had joined the circle, but we only had 100 or so members then.
Can I request everyone to respond what areas have you experienced corruption in your daily life in Mumbai or maximum Maharashtra in the last say 2 years and how. Did you pay the bribe or didn't.
Once everyone responds, we can consoidate top 8-10 areas that must be handled by AAP (independent of elections and their results).
Working with party, we could have an action plan that can implemented with AAP and citizens working together.

I HAVE ALREADY COMPLAINED TO AUTHORITIES AND WROTE RTI APPLICATION WITH AAP ACTIVIST'S APPROVAL,REGARDING BUILDER WITH POLITICAL CONNECTIONS BULLYING CHAIRMAN OF HOUSING SOCIETY, MANIPULATING SOCIETY'S BANK ACCOUNTS, CONDUCTING ILLEGAL ELECTIONS, MAKING REGISTRAR AND BMC OFFICIALS DANCE TO HIS ILLEGAL DESIGNS. AS AAP IS BUSY WITH ELECTIONS, THE MATTER IS PUT IN COLD STORAGE. more

Check out the vashi APMC market someday fruits are dumped and destroyed to reduce the supply and hike the prices. It is a pity sight when we have so many poor people in our country who don't have enough for a one time meal. more

Didnt experience much of corruption except for two police, where I had seen people offering on their own to the concerned Officer, though the Traffic police wanted fine to be paid against reciept. For areas near Navi Mumbai, from Turbhe to Panvel and other areas too, one needs to check the rampant destruction of Hills for sand and stones. One can mostly hear blasts during morning and evenings in areas near CBD and Kharghar. This too is a form of Loot of natural resources and damage to the environment. In shivaji nagar police station (Govandi mumbai) if you applied for passport and inquiry will come up yo you. The police guy (hawaldar) will come to your home and ask about 500 if you pay to him 300 rs instead of 500 rs then you will have to pay 1000 rs or more with lots of harassment in police station. and if you pay 500 rs then you only have to pay 500 and your inquiry will be completed successfully. I don't understand i filled up passport form correctly shows my original documents, submitted 2 copies of each documents with attested. then why i had to pay 1000 rs extra for my passport. number of people apply for passport on daily basis how much money they can make? more

Corruption is from the people who are supposed to protect us. While boarding a local train from kalyan somebody flicked my sisters wallet from her bag. It contained her vehicle registration and license. We went to the railway police to lodge a complaint then and there. Till date nobody has taken down the complaint. The lodging of the complaint was not with the intention of police catching the thief. But just to ensure we have done what is right from our end. When we went to lodge a complaint they wanted a affidavit then something then something.. Then the same questions when we went everytime... Explaining all over again and again but they did not take down anything in writing... After 2 - 3 visits we didn't go back... It was like a task for the person who lost their belonging than the thief who stole and roaming around freely more
