Corruption in Policing - Inputs on Issues

Why does IPL cricket matches get traffic police assistance and that too at the expense of the tax payers money. It is not an official international event but just because traffic police are paid hefty amounts they will openly engage in the illegal activity. more  

1. The lower level police staff demands money to file FIR suggestion: bridge the loop hole allow to register online FIR all across india . this is already been implemented at BANGLORE on pilot basis it should be implemented all across india. without online FIR system we all people feel helpless in india (observation: as we have seen in one case of UP even an IPS was also unable to lodge his FIR against a political heavyweight , even in a police station where his subordinate police officer was incharge recently .) so implementing online FIR system all across india , after strict third party online realtime varification is a very practical idea of future india 6. Police constables demand money for passport verification suggestion: bridge the loop hole and issue passport to every one on demand and link it with VOTER ID /AADHAR CARD /RATION CARD etc. 7. Almost all heavy vehicles passing through the city need to pay bribes suggestion: bridge the loop hole and install electronic weight scale at all toll nakas /chungi nakas and connect it to central computer system of toll connection and thus the weight of the heavy vehical passing will get recorded in computer and accordingly fined amount / chungi extra charge/ extra weight charge money can be collected automatically 8. Citizens collude with Police with bribes to get insurance/bigger insurance claims. suggestion: bridge the loop hole and make the strict provision for those peoples who themselves offer bribes to police sometimes to get their things done by hook or by crook. police officers must be terminated from his service ( lower level police officials must also be dearly punished ) if found guilty in corruption cases. more  

Sir (Transparency Intl India) How long are u going to gather inputs on various issues? This has been going on for quite some time now. Let us see some actions happening or else this will become a five year plan. Have you been able to develop a understanding between state and central govt. on various issues? Will Govt. at center have any say in working of UP police? more  

I feel corruption starts from politics,police,courts,babus in the offices.Indian police does not have a helping image and the same is with other groups mentioned above. more
