Fraud carried out by the Indian Railways. This is becoming a trend now as this has happened to me twice in space of two months . The fraud executed by the Indian Railways is as follows , after reading this I request all the people to be careful or else you will cheated with huge amount. I booked my ticket through IRCTC and on the date of the journey I fell ill and could not under-take the journey , since the final list was prepared I could not cancel the ticket therefore I filed for the TDR and mentioned the reason as not traveled. After someday I receive a mail stating that my request for the cancellation could not be initiated and refund was denied and the reason given as that the T.T.E. has marked me as traveled passenger. When i confronted them they informed me that I have to provide proof that I have not traveled like attendance list. As I run my own business hence I do not have what they want hence I was not given my refund. I gave them one prove that my return ticket has been cancelled well in advance as i did not do the journey and gave them the PNR no. as well. The first time I was cheated was , I had ticket both in ac 2 tier and as well as ac 3 rd tier. As both of them were wait listed tickets and after the final chart was prepared both the ticket got confirmed. Again I did not had the option to cancel the 3rd ac ticket as i traveled in 2nd ac , I filed for TDR and I got the reply I could be refunded as i traveled in 3rd ac as per the chart. After these incidents it is amply clear that Indian Railways has found a noble way of cheating your hard earned money. BE careful. more

Railway porters are most corrupted In railways.Seniorr citizens are worsted affected as the cannot Cary even small luggage and climb foot over bridges. The porters are demanding minimum Rs100 even for small luggages weighing about 4to 5kgs which senior citizens cannot carry.railways should collect luggage charges from the passengers at the time of ticket booking and arrange porters to shift the luggage to take out to Riksha stand or vice versa from entrance to destinated coach as per passenger need. Railways should take immediate action and help the passengers. more
