Many of you have been writing posts and comments about corruption taking place under the Smart Cities Mission, especially in regards to tenders and contracts.

MOHAMMAD ABDUL RAHIM ANSARI, Corruption per-say should not be seen as mere transfer of money from one hand to the other. Sub standard quality, delay and negligence are also bad and equally damaging if not more. These things happen more in collusion and therefore fall within the definition of corruption. I now a days see a lot of spending by Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation on City Road Development and Swatch Bharat but no change in attitude and pride in technical and town planning departments who are assigned these important Smart City projects of International National recognition. They still take months to fish these Capital/Repair/Maintenance works which normally should not take a few day to weeks there by exposing public to utter confusion and risk of accidents. While talking so loud about time bound eradicating of Open Defecation we keep permitting domestication of laundry, retail kiosks etc on road margins without providing sanitary and other public health amenities to such people. Above all GVMC is very much primitive and lethargic in maintaining an effective online system to receive, attend and reporting compliance on public suggestions/complaints. They in fact do not encourage public hole heatedly to participate in improving accountability. No doubt they keep holding some occasional audio recording/receipt of public complaints and make some noise when required for their record purpose. Let us appreciate that Smart city and swatch Bharat concepts will be successful only when Municipal Corporations facilitate spontaneous involvement of conscious public in bringing about accountability, speeding of works and change in attitude of people at helm of development/Repair/Maintenance works. more

I HAD BEEN WARNING THE BJP GOVT. ABOUT THE "FARMER'S DISTRESS" JUST BEFORE THE GUJARATH ASSEMBLY POLLS. IT WAS JUST IN TIME FOR THE BJP GOVT. TO TAKE THE NECESSARY STEPS TO PREVENT MORE VOTES TURNING INTO ANTI-INCUMBENCY VOTES. AFTER THAT LESSON FROM GUJARATH, THE HON'BLE FM HAS PAID MORE ATTENTION TO THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR IN THE BUDGET FOR 2018. BUT....... "Merely Hiking M.S.P. is not a Panacdea" for the Farming community . Pricing is only one part of the story; DELIVERY IS THE MOST IMPORTANT. A RADICAL CHANGE IS NEEDED IN FARM PRODUCTS MARKETING AND DISTRIBUTION. THE HON'BLE FM HAD INDEED MENTIONED ABOUT "COST OF LOGISTICS" AND WOULD BRING SOME SOLUTIONS. BUT WHAT ?? FOR THE PAST 5 YEARS I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET THE ATTENTION OF THE BJP LEADERS ABOUT SUCH PROBLEMS AND HAD OFFERED SOME VERY EFFECTIVE SOLUTIONS FOR VERY CHEAP LOGISTICS. BUT THE LOBBY OF TRANSPORTERS HAVE BEEN ABLE TO THWART ALL MY ATTEMPTS TO GET MY MESSAGE ACROSS. WHY ? THE BABOO(n)S DECIDE WHAT THEIR BOSSES READ . THAT'S WHY. ASK DR. SUBRAMANIAN SWAMY-JI WHY HIS LETTER (ABOUT THE INELIGIBILITY OF SONIA GANDI TO BECOME PM) TO THE PRESIDENT GOT DELAYED BY THE BABOO(n)S IN THE RASHTRAPATHI BHAVAN. SO, IT IS THE BABOO(n)S WHO GOVERN THE NATION !! HOW UN-DEMOCRATIC. INDIA NEEDS THE PRESIDENTIAL FORM OF GOVT. more

Dear All, Peoples are taking it granted that Corruption is the right to us.But govt. is not thinking and persuing that it is not right but it is Crime.Unless it is taken hard nothing will happen.In any govt.State /central services SUSPENSION word to be removed and TERMINATION word to be incorporate aslo Law for fighting against corruption complaint should be removed, and introduced no relief.Initially some innocent will get out off job but there will be fear in mind of people.That should be created. Now come to Smart city corruption,yes it is there .Furthermore under the scheme of Govt.Latrine building scheme in villages is worst.Mamlejdars are only teaching to villager I will give you Rs 12000/- out of which you can give 2000/- to me back. and nobdy is building the Latrine and false documents are made by Mamlejdar and talatis. If you visit any village in Yawal Taluka ,dist Jalgaon -Maharastra you will find it and you will get plenty of such issues.Here local leaders/MLA are involved. Will our circle do it??
