CORRUPTION

Corruption has not changed in India. Irrespective of Government, it keeps on increasing every year.
The solution is that, Government promptly acts to the compliant of Corruption made by citizen on priority.
The judicial system requires improvement with affordable justice & not with counsel who charges minimum of 1 laks per appearance. more

Bang on, nothing has changed with Modi Govt. - if atall we are worse off financially & politicians better off. Modi Govt. has failed in promise of GOOD GOVERNANCE. more
We are only responsible for some extent for the corruption. We wish to get done our work at any cost speedily. So we offer bribe to the officers who get the opportunity and thus corruption spread all over. We should follow certain procedure to get done the work. The helpless people suffer more in the society. Certain Political leaders raise the benefits and protect the corrupted officers. There is no end of corruption in India because certain agents are involved in the corruption and it is not exposed anywhere. There are no severe punishment to stop the corruption. Police also protects the culprits. more
I agree Simply to say corruption need to stop is hypothetical. The whole social system including the individuals, bureaucrats, politicians, and even the academicians must join hands to bring the change. Then only corruption can be curtailed Who will take the first step to make the move. Dr S.Sanyal more
To reduce corruption the following actions are suggested 1. Party size should be minimized. If part size is greater, the party by itself will promote corruption 2. Most corrupt money gets into real estate; stop it by addressing benami land 3. Put end to smuggling. 4. Eradicate goondas/rowdies. The corrupt people are more frightened than common man and hence need goondas to protect himself, his family and his money. 5. eGovernance in every aspect. Right now, we have probably 50% of governance thru electronic 6. Make the punishment more cruel. Anyone who wanted to be corrupt will fear punishment if it is really hard on them. Just jailing them does not help. more
No country is free of corruption in this world. The only difference that we Indians talk of corruption from the rooftop but do not fight it Dr S.Sanyal more
I agree. The discipline is extremely important. When Singapore president came to Bangalore during Deva Gowda (CM at that time) period, the President said India needs just one thing and it is discipline. Bring the discipline , everything else will fall in place. more
To reduce corruption India require another 10 years of Military rule under a honest and sensible ruler like Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. So that, people will know the discipline in their life first. To-day it very difficult to find a person who is not corrupt but easy to find corrupt person every where in all segment of people. more
the way out is to restrict time period for a case after filing in the course say - all consumer court issues must be settled within say 6 months period and that files in a civil court having value say Rs 5 lakhs within 6 months, and that having value within Rs 10 Lakhs within 1 year etc. When judiciary is corrupt everything is corrupt. Thanks more
The government is neither sincere nor serious in eradicating corruptions. Otherwise, it would have taken several measures since coming to the power at least to check the menace and gradually bringing it down to an acceptable level, as complete eradication of corruption spread all over our societies in every walk of life is neither practical nor possible and no nation in the world is completely free of the menace. But the government appear to have become complacent after demonetisation last year in the name of black money & corruption, which was nothing more than eye washing. more
I have heard from a close friend that Nitin Gadkari has to be paid to get road contracts. The funds maybe going to the party, but that is still not right. Until election funding is radically changed this kind of corruption is going to continue. more
Big political parties conduct public meetings and the expenditure is in crores.
Where does this money come from for these parties? Some influential and rich people donate .
Who are these people who donate? Is there any transparency?
The officers in Govt frame rules in such a way that the public cannot comply and their work gets delayed.
The moment they bribe the official their job gets done.
Such collections from Public are diverted through small time politicians who collect and fund the elections, meetings etc.On the way these people also take commission in the collections
and enjoy.
In the name of cracking down corruption What is the use of catching
these commission agents instead of stopping the people and parties who enjoy conducting rallies and meetings on unaccounted money. more
I dont agree totally. The Govt is showing interest. The UAN, Rupiya, Demon, linking Aadhaar to BFSI all aimed to bring down black money and corruption. Of course, there would be people within the party that will not like it. The bureaucrats (some of the corrupt guys) who formulate the rules will create holes to make money. After all the minster are not experts in their ministry and has to depend on bureaucrats.

How I wish there are advanced IAS courses for Ministers to be eligible to think better than bureaucrats. more
