Corruption

Corruption should be treated like waging war against India and corrupt people should be exposed, their entire property confiscated and they should be socially ostracized. There should be Judicial Accountability Commission to try and punish the guilty in a time bound manner. more

The best possible/feasible/implmentable deterent to stop corruption is to confiscate the property of the person ,whosoever is cought ,acquired through it and then publisize it to warn others of the conequencies. more  
Agree with u on that, but to start with if anonymous complaints are investigated,it will put some fear in the minds as also some data of the corrupt will be available, thereafter safeguards in the system come in. more  
Sir, the Armed Forces are quite insular in their structure, and the Commanders have substantial authority as well as as resources at their disposal, to follow up on anonymous complaints. In the civilian environment, such a situation would lead to chaos, and people would try to settle scores by leveling complaints anonymously at anyone against whom they have a perceived vendetta. It would be much more effective to insist that anonymous complaints would be discarded 'at source', which complaints which the complainant is fully disclosing his identity should be thoroughly investigated. For this to happen it is essential to strengthen the Whistle blowers Act(s) such that the complainants identity is completely protected, all throughout the investigation, and even beyond. However, if it is discovered that the complaint was frivolous, or made with malafide intentions, then the complainant must be thoroughly punished including recovering all costs of investigation from him/her. more  
A lot can be said about anonymous complaints,it is a double edged weapon,but we have to learn from the armed forces, though there are instructions that anonymous letters/complaints would not be taken cognizance of; commanders conduct discreet inquiries and get to know the truth. To build our data bank of the corrupt we need to encourage anonymous letters/telephone calls. more
