Covid charges in private hospitals need to be standardised

This attached is from a private hospital’s lobby in mumbai.

I know this circle takes up healthcare charges and localcircles escalates to Govt to cap prices or fix MRP.

The need of the hour is to standardise price of covid treatment basis hospital facilities rating.

A 5 star hospital may charge 8-10K per night per room but not 32K per night. This is LOOT.

Govt hospitals are in bad bad state. Private hospitals are needed but they cant charge through the nose like this. More so in these times more

Capping of the Prices in these testing times is a must. In any case hospitals should not be allowed to loot the General Public &/or Public in General. As there must be a hold / cap on the Pvt. Hospitals, Schools, Pvt. Metros, Electrical companies, Airports etc. All the natural resources i.e. Air, Water, Land etc. are provided to them at a very subsidized rates. Means A General / Generally good facility to General peoples of the country at a Generous cost, but of course not free, at all. All Govt. Hospitals must improve to the level of Defense or CMC or Charitable trust's hospital with strict regulations & affordable costs. Govt. Hospitals must provide all facilities at all the times with a sense of equality, generosity, urgency & as a service to Humanity but again not free of cost. As in railway, the train is same but with many different standards of travel classes, Govt. Hospitals must be restructured to cater to many classes of public, as per their standards, pmt. capacity & requirements under 01 roof. Even elite should prefer the facility. Govt. Hospitals should run on NO PROFIT / NO LOSS basis with no / little dependence on Govt. Funds, without requirement of recommendations from local leaders etc. General public with Health insurance cover must be able to rely on Govt. Hospitals standard & quality of services provided. These hospitals with numerous talented Doctors, support & experienced staff can make this happen. Only Provision of being free of cost make these Govt. Hospitals a hell, a shit pot, a center of corruption, a best example of Ignorance & a butchers shop. (Note: The commercialization of this noble profession is due to one of heaviest cost incurred by prospective students in getting medical education in institutions erected by Greedy politicians & Elite class of our society. Hence in order to get good returns of their investments, the new / budding Doctors start taking corrupt routes to prosper, end up getting trapped in nets of Big Hospitals, who work as traders / middlemen feasting on the Body & soul of Sick & needy.) This Must stop.) Presently All those who are availing these facilities generally, must be scrutinized for their eligibility viz. Economical status, social / crime status i.e. peaceful / criminal to the society etc. more
Yes,Private Hospitals are looting the public.Govt should come out with guidelines. Also Govt should improve the conditions of Govt/Municipal Hospitals to a reasonable level. more
Our government appears to be toothless in bringing these private hospitals under the preview of its laid down norms and to strictly comply with them. It is necessary to keep the expenses of treatment of the patients of Covid19 within the reach of our common people or otherwise those suffering from the infection with entire family members will leave with no option but to die without treatment in absence of government hospitals. However, one who wants five star facilities in a hospital should be prepared to bear its cost. more
What a shameless comment? One one hand the people do not wear masks, not not observe social distancing, not being careful and contract the virus and expect the Government and Private hospitals to give free or subsidized treatment for the Covid 19 cases. more
