Covid has divided us.

Covid has divided India into 3

One India sits at home safely, works online & gets paid a salary that mostly go into savings.

2nd, sits at home idly having lost job/business & worries about dwindling savings.

3rd, goes out & faces the deadly virus everyday to earn daily bread.

People like Ramachandran Nair i feel are the 2nd category. Jobless or retired and that has filled them with venom that they criticise 99% of what they see. Maintain dignity Sir.

This is peoples platform to share and discuss. As long as they are not misleading anyone, be part of the discussion that you’d like to. Otherwise move to the next post.

I have been a member of LC since Jan 2013. Amazing all that they have achieved. Atleast some one is bringing out the truth of the state of affairs. more

On a lighter note, we confront a Yin-Yang situation here..... 1. Food is rotting because people don't buy; people don't buy because the food is rotten. Question: why does the food get rotten? Solution lies in that simple but eternal economic formula: demand and supply. 2. We criticise others because the situation frustrates us, or, we criticise others because we ourselves are not able to surmount the situation. Something to think about, folks! more
Varun please do not cast aspersions on any individual. There is no doubt that this is a great forum and has delivered astonishing results. Some reactions over posting of issues without any reason or copy pasting issues without deliberating on them is a waste of precious time. we should use this platform to raise issues and try to find solutions. more
I absolutely agree with Mr. Varun Bhawnani that this is a peoples’ platform, wherein members can share and discuss relevant information/issues for benefit of others (though some posts may not be relevant or beneficial for each and every member). I think LC Admin should take a note and device some system of effectively conveying to such people (though very very few) who repeatedly cross the boundaries of civility and post offensive and disrespectful messages, otherwise LC’s stature and prestige itself may start deteriorating sooner rather than later. more
I think Mr Nair’s post is an expression of frustration after seeing various demands, practical or whimsical, on Govt. whatever he has mentioned is as a senior citizen and should be read with open mind. While Mr Varun Bhawani is right about division in the country but his assessment about retired people appears misplaced. A senior citizen earns his pension after over three decades of hard work and if he has saved something for his retirement it is after sacrificing many pleasures of life. At fag end of his life he hardly has opportunities to get employed and is forced to sit at home more so because of Covid-19 spread more
I agree with Pradeep T. more
