COVID official count missing 4 in 5 cases
Thanks to all residents of Delhi-NCR who participated in the latest survey on understanding health wise what you have experienced in April and May so far. Below is the link to the survey report:
Official COVID counts in Delhi-NCR are likely understated by 80 pct
It has never happened that 55% families have 1 or more experiencing 1 or more COVID symptoms in the months of April and May. And 2 in 3 of the residents did not even take a COVID test for various reasons. Of those who did take the test, 42% took home RAT. This makes 80% of the 100% out of the official counts
What all of this means is that there is a clear risk of illusion that comes from low daily cases reported. This risk is only aggravated as only 20% of the samples will now be available for genome testing making it a much longer process to identify newer variants and respond to a worsening situation in a timely manner.

People are not testing anymore unfortunately therefore the count is all wrong ... Most people are passing it off as the usual flu cough fever etc. God help us if a worse variant turns up more

Generally people with common cold and cough symptoms seem to have come down as we see the crows in the clinics. May be as the crowds congregating is reduced the PUO (Pyrexia of Unknown Origin seem tohave scaeld down.) But with the incessant rains and Flooding of localities there could be break out of Vector based infections. In Kerala, Nipak Virus at this stage of Covid 19 Pandemic, T.N suspecting and taking precautions against Checkengunya and Dengu are matter of concern. SO THE CIVIC AUTHORITIES SHOULD TAKE SUFFICIENT PRECAUTIONS TO SAFE GUARD THE CITIZENS OF THE CAPITAL OF INDIA, IN THE LIGHT OF THE RAINS AND THE WATERLOGGING AND FLOODING IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS. Shortly should also be prepared for the fog and Smoke due to Agriculturel operations. more

It is feared that if 3rd wave of Covid strikes the country, Delhi is least prepared and its performance will be at bottom. No ramping of Medical infrastructure except rhetorics by advertisement addict and publicity hungry CM of Delhi. Ministers of Delhi are busy in traveling to other states like Punjab, Gujarat etc for political activities. more
