Cream Biscuits extremely unhealthy

Consumer Education and Research center (CERC) has done lab testing on cream biscuits and 10 brands were tested, fat content was 20-100 gm and sugar content was 20-100 gm.

All brands ITC, britannia, parle, patanjali, modelez (oreo) and windsor are all loaded with fat and sugar.

daily recommended allowance from WHO is 6 spoons of sugar and all of it plus some would be consumed just with a pack of biscuits. more

One is content& another is packing to be literally controlled for safe storage and use. more
Do not be so specific no body eats cream biscuits daily . more
Excellent finding. I have found the same issues with my sons who use to eat Cream biscuits, now one of them goes to the gym. Government's, of course, did not have a clue on the scale of the problem with GST and GST technology requirements. How would they know about cream biscuits? Advertisements are the first to capture the minds of kids, teenagers, and adolescents more
Cookery shows and other advertisements, etc. have brainwashed the people, especially children that 'TASTE' is the prime characteristics of any food item, instead of its 'NUTRITIOUS' value.. For example, one biscuit says somewhat like this: 'I have strength like a tiger'... in fact 'horse' is the symbol of energy/ power/ strength.... (Highly) processed, fortified, seasoned with masala, etc. are irritating to the digestive system (gastrointestinal tract) and needs to be avoided... Even when home-made food is not available, it is better to eat raw food, i.e. fruits, salads, coconut water, etc. at least for one meal everyday.... more
Because somebody is producing something, one is not required to oblige him (companies).... I have been working in Materials Department (Purchase, Stores & Inventory) of a large Petrochemicals Company, which source their materials (including food articles for canteen, etc.) from almost all the countries of this world... The very basic principle of 'purchase' is: Sellers would try to sell their products (services) at any rate/ cost and by any method; but customer, beware... Principles of Economics may teach one how to spent the money effectively, but it does not teach how the money comes ab-initio... Therefore, before deciding to purchase, 'purchasers' are required to consider all the factors, especially four 'Ps' - product (quality, quantity, etc.), price, place, period (time)... more
Shun all processed foods....... and we all will be healthy....... but are we ready for it........ if we will not buy these products then why would the companies produce......... more
Cream biscuits are not a Health food. But an indulgence and should be treated as such. more
