Criminalising Prostitution

I agree with Ashima's post. I think it is high time we look at criminalising sex buying in Delhi. GB road must be rehabilitated. If AP can do it, Delhi can too. Will the CM take this up?? more

Prostitution must be legalised and that is the only way to stop RAPES and Molestations. From: Mala Sehgal Sent: Tue, 16 Jan 2018 13:57:34To: krsna099@rediffmail.comSubject: "Criminalising Prostitutio..." more
Very well written kaul,
Prostitution has been there since ages , as back as history can be recalled. Physiology of men and women are completely different. Men are physiologically more inclined towards having multiple sex partners where as women are not.they by virtue of their harmonal type remain confined to a single partner and are not very active. This inclination of man is law of nature and not his own self created rule which otherwise wouldn't be universally known. Because of his such desire, prostitution has been there since ages and in today's world acts as a most effective tool to curb rapes, molestation, and also stabilizes his family from breaking down. In almost all developed countries, prostitution is legalized upon seeing the benefits it lays down. It is only in this country that it is looked upon something unnatural by some people who don't try to understand the science behind it. more
Political parties work only in the direction of getting vote. This part of the society is not their vote bank for them, as such they are left to the mercy of NGOs. more

We need to go step by step 1. We need to rehabilitate the minors who are forced into the trade. 2. There are enough laws which already criminalise sex with the Minors. Let's use them. 3. Let's have health and hygiene checks in the brothels and educate the adults in the trade. Only a few NGOs are doing it. 4. Let the government sanitise the place WRT health and hygiene. 5. Let the government recognise the world of prostitution legally and take steps to protect the environment of the prostitutes to curb crime. 6. Let the government come out with dos and don'ts and enforce them. 7. Let the government see, how many people are willing to pay GST for the services offered in these areas. 8. Let's declare the legality or illegality after these steps are over. more
What I fail to understand is that why prostitution is not made legal and notified... Delhi govt should have taken the step in order to show the society as progressive and promoted safe sex and made women safe.. What keeps them from taking this bold step is beyond my understanding. more
