Criminals contesting Delhi elctions 2015. BJP tops.
Has Aam Aadmi Party, which came into existence with the aim of cleansing politics, preferred "winnability" over probity? It appears so since as many as 23 of its candidates contesting the Delhi elections have criminal cases pending against them, according to the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR).
In fact, BJP, despite PM Narendra Modi's pre-poll declaration that criminal cases against leaders will be fast-tracked, leads all other parties in fielding candidates with criminal cases. It has 27 (39% of total) such nominees while Congress has 21.

Election Commission in India never had any power to decide. It is the ruling government which decides, 1. when elections will be held, 2. what will be the voter list (how to club people) so that the ruling party gets maximum number of seats (if a seat is won by few hunders votes also it counts as 1 seat which is what makes a difference), 3. how to make use of Media, among many other strategies. So because LOOT is at the top (Central Government), it will always be a mighty challenge for AAP and voters of AAP (common people). more

By reading this article, so many people would have thought otherwise, but unfortunately there is no remedy also. Media in India is completely owned by Congressmen (note that this article shows that only 21 criminals are contesting from Delhi Elections) and BJP (Reliance owned channels). I am desperately waiting for those questions that BJP will be asking AAP convener Kejriwal. more

Many thanks for rectifying this. This piece of information is useful again for all those who support BJP and are interested to know more about AAP. This certainly shows how politicians are fooling us everyday. If Times of India publishes such articles without complete knowledge, then there is something seriously wrong in our Indian Media. This also shows that there would be many such wrong news circulating against AAP. more

I have gone through the Action for democratic right and checked the profile of AAP Candidates regarding criminal cases. Most of them was related to defamation and other petty election related charges. I haven;t found any case of riot, diacoty, robbery, murder etc more
