Smart cities should not have any jhuggis. Amenities like water, food, electricity, housing, infrastructure need to be near perfect levels in these cities. Real challenge to develop a Smart City is dependent on competitiveness, Capital and Sustainability. Almost all over the country we have miserably failed to provide good infrastructure such as water, sanitation, reliable utility services by the Municipal Corporations. Even day to day simple complaints are not attended. Most important is to bring a change in attitude of young administrators who must take a pledge to serve the country over and above their career path - by becoming yes man to the superiors. more
