Crowd in the reservation compartments

Railway fail to check the menace of crowding in the reserved compartments...most of the sleeper class coaches do not hv a mechanism to check unreserved persons roaming. Even the TTE do not verify his ticket (not sure whether such persons hold a valid ticket to travel). this situation bring lot of inconvenience to the reserved passengers not only security, but health hazardous as well. Is there anyway possible to check this menace by the railway authorities? more

Not only health hazards but also serious safety and security concerns of the lawful passengers. This kind for free for all can be seen in Brindavan Expresses, Sapthagiri Expresses, certain day trains & certain other long distance trains in stretches. In such instances even the RPF personnel are not to be seen in the compartments. This is a real situation and has to be resolved immediately. Are TTEs not responsible for such situations when they are supposed to be the "boss" of the compartments ? Added to this is the vendor movements (majority being unauthorised vendors). In many instances the legitimate passengers do not have space even to stretch their legs & go to the toilet. What is purpose in holding legitimate tickets ? I have experienced in many instances that the TTEs do not come for checking at all. All these things makes one to wonder whether there is a carefully woven system. Further, what is the role of the so called surprise squads that is supposed to check such unauthorised travel. I think the Rail Ministry and the Railway Board has to order for a detailed enquiry and initiate immediate corrective action to avoid such inconvenience to the legitimate & genuine passengers. more
The menace of non bonafide travellers is at peak between office hours. The daily commuters crowd reserved sleeper coaches including Ii AC and III AC. Normal rule is Ii SL to accomodate 5 persons on birth, III AC _ 4 persons and II AC 3 persons. AC compartment travellers are mostly Railway staff. They dont show normal politeness to even bonafide sr. citizen travellers. Let Kutch Exp and Bhuj Exp be checked between starting station and Surat over a period of a week, if any Railway Official has doubt. more
All these things are done through a joint secular venture of TTEs, Attendents, RPF/GRP, Vigilalnce and other departments of Railway. Tou control these corrupt officers, every thing will be normal within 24 hours and let Railway declare it publicly that they work for passengers. more
