CSR program for policing

The Indian Police Foundation has done a good job by connecting us all for good cause of Safe India but they seem to not get things going like many other circles where Govt is taking citizen feedback and converting to policy.

Yesterday, I read how police in gurgaon is asking industrialist to doneate pcr vans.

The IPF and Home Ministry should construct a CSR program where corporates can donate these funds for policing in their area.

A simple reform could have lasting impact. Please think IPF. more

asked denotations will be given only to take advantage. It is another kind of bribe more
I am quite surprised and shocked that the police in Gurgaon is asking for donations for PCR Vans! The citizens of India pay taxes which are meant for these things. Every PS, depending on it's area of coverage and type of 'threat' perception is entitled to manpower and equipment as required to meet it's commitments. This entitlement is worked out at the State level after appropriate feedback from the outposts. If that is not happening it only goes to show that our police bosses, the elite IPS, is not doing it's job! Why should police stations go around with a begging bowl for funds to buy PCR Vans? Pull up your socks, policemen! This brings shame to your service. more
I fully agree with the comment, " The IPF and Home Ministry should construct a CSR program where corporate can donate these funds for policing in their area". But police must honestly ensure to use such facilities ditally-contactable for the the person in trouble. more
Please read- digitally. more
I too concerned about individual police stations approaching CSR or those organisations seekinf for fund. Individual Police station shall not decided their requirements. Requirements to be decided by higher officials or home department. CSR shall not be solution to all problems India facing. The Benefit of CSR should go to directly to disadvantage sections/ disaster situations in the country to upift them than infrastructure cost. I hope state will help in this regard more
By asking corporate organisations to contribute, once again corruption will get a fillip in many innovative ways. Why can the government not provide for these facilities? There is so much black money in the society and yet we say we are a poor country. All this is a sham. India is a poor country of rich and corrupt people. more
