Citizens of Pakistan want Nawaz Sharif to have a similar engagement initiative.
Every aspect associated with Narendra Modi and his government is being keenly watched by the curious Western world which wants to know how the once castigated man evolves and takes his country forward amid high expectations from within and outside.
Close on the heels of news coming out on the Western interest in his outfits, it has come to light that the Geneva-based World Economic Forum (WEF) is tracking the online campaign of BJP Samvad Cell titled ‘Transform India with Narendra Modi’, which aims to canvass ideas from Indians around the world identifying long-term and short-term priorities for the government for launching the country into the frontline of nations.
In an article titled “Can India crowdsource its future,” which is hosted on the home page of WEF, it is noted that an amazing 40,000 Indians and more from various backgrounds have submitted their views in response to the campaign so far.
WEF has let CEO of social network site Local Circles Sachin Taparia express his views on this topic through his article which underlines that in the coming month, this community plans to undertake a detailed review of each of the areas and root cause issues, and collectively develop solutions.
It points to Modi’s campaign slogan: “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” (Collective Effort, Collective Progress) and says that what Indians see different this time is a new leader who has conviction and the desire to work to a gruelling schedule.
Over 30 people have commented on the article on the WEF website so far and one of them, Syed Arbab Ahmed, said: “Citizens can give inputs on the immediate and long-term priorities for the government, which is an excellent step. Mr Nawaz Sharif must also look into it, as he is spending billions of dollars on Metro buses whereas basic necessities are missing”. more
