DANGEROUS ROOF TOP TRAVEL BY YOUNGSTERS
I am witnessing daily many young boys travels on the roof top of the Electrical Multiple Units (EMU's) in Central Line. In spite of repeated announcement, awareness posters etc., media advertisement done by the Railways, the dangerous roof top travel is not checked/reduced due of lack of check/punishment.
In my opinion, the RPF/GRP on duty of each and every station should closly monitor and pass on the information of roof top travel to the next station and stringent punishment should be given to the offenders, and this exercise should be implemented on pan India basis. The train racks should also be altered by cutting the holding grip, rack cleaning welded lader etc., immeidately. It is time to take a call by the Railways and improve the comfort and ensure the saftey of life of youngesters. more

First of all Government has to ban to sell products like Cigaretes, Gutka etc.,in Trains and Railway Stations. Railway Police has to take care to these things and they should also maintain discipline on the Plat plams. more

First of all, when people don't care about their lives by climbing on to the roof then it is very difficult to implement the rules. They can be asked to get down, asking a RPF also to put his life at risk to arrest the people is not advisable. Also the power cannot be shut down everytime the RPF makes an arrest for getting on top of the roof. When people try all sort of illegal ways, it is the governments job to find a foolproof method. Maybe they designing of the trains should change so that it is not possible for the public to reach the roof. Make it like metro trains, fully airconditioned and no grip available at the sides for the people to climb. This is just a suggestion, the topbrass at the railways has to sit down and break their heads to find a solution. more

Instead of legal actions on such cases, RPF / GRP / Station Manager (because it is cumbersome procedure) should be empowered to collect spot fine (hefty), confiscation of Season ticket etc., from such culprits. more
