Dear Residents of Faridabad, Every one must have received electricity bills in this month. As per my information the due date of payment has been stated as 1st July 2016. The bills got delivered only on 29th June 2016.
Everyone must have been aware that there is a strike of electricity workmen in Haryana on 29th and 30th June 2016. Media reports suggest that no bills will be accepted for payment on these two days. This leave only one day for the members to pay electricity bills.
The DHBVN has already violated the regulations as defined under Electricity Act 2003.
While I had initiated the issue yesterday and I have been informed that the due date of payment of bills is extended to 4th July i.e again only another working day. Even the 4th July is against the regulations as prescribed under Electricity Act 2003.
In view of above I appeal to all members to raise a complaint to the concerned SDO so that the authorities gets sensitizied and stop unethical business practices. Let the authorities gget panic instaed of consumer getting panic. Any one seeking any help may please contact me on my email skvirmani@gmail.com more

@Anthony Mathew ji, The details are available on the following links: http://www.dhbvn.org.in/staticContent/contactus/faridabad.pdf more
Virmani ji, is the SDO, DHBVN accessible to public on e-mails? I would be deeply obliged if you can help give me his e-mail. I will definitely write a complaint and cc to you. more
I agree with the contents of Mr. Virmani. We should unitedly protest .I have not been receiving for the last four months and making the payment after visiting personally Elecy office and with the surcharge. I live in Sector -14 more
Try online payments, it is very convenient, no need to stand in line in the hot summer more
@Mr. Anthony Mathew, Thanks for your comments to the post. Is it possible for you to bring the matter on records with DHBVN and a copy to my email stating Date of issue of bill, due date of payment and date of delivery of the bill. To all readers of the post, let me inform the time lines. The bill is to be delivered to the consumer within 7 days of issuing date of the bill. The due date of payment has to be 17 days of issue date of the bill. While I am sure DHBVN is not adhering to the timelines (even nearby timelines), I am expecting as many complaints as possible to be written to SDO with a copy to my email id. Practically all consumers of Faridabad are suffering with problem related to electricity bills but hardly any complaint is being raised. Lets make a beginning now from the June itself (the current month bill). I am quite confident a significant change in the system in case I get couple of complaints/ feedback to SDO with a copy on my emails. more
