Dear Residents of Faridabad- Regarding Electricity Billing
I understand DHBVN is not charging as per approved tariff structure for the period during 2020-21 specially for those electricity consumers whose monthly consumption do not exceed 800 units. As per my understanding of the tariff structure, the tariff in this category of the consumer. the slab for first 150 units per month should be Rs. 2.50 per unit whereas the DHBVN is charging Rs. 4.50 per units. The interested consumers may like to pursue their electricity bills of 2020-21 specially after 1st June 2020 and see if there is any discrepancy.
I would like to take up issue with concerned Departments of Govt of Haryana for which the following information may be given:
1. Bill Number and Date
2. No of units consumed.
3. No. of Days for which the bill has been raised
4. Unit rate charged in the first slab (150 units per month)
Those who feel difficulty in understanding their bill, may like to mail me the scanned copy of the bill on my email. more

@Shri Arun Gupta, Thanks for sharing the information. I have analysed about 36 bills from various period of few consumers including that of consumers of UHBVN. The details/report has been submitted to the Commission for taking appropriate action against DHBVN and UHBVN as both the Discoms have deceived the consumers to the tune of more than Rs. 1,700 crores directing the Discoms to refund the excess amount so charged from more than 50 lakhs consumers. more

@Shri JS Jain, Sir, I have already submitted the petition/complaint seeking refund to all those consumers who have been deceived by both PSU Discoms i.e DHBVN and UHBVN as both are suspected to have adapted Deceptive Trade Practices. The total deception has been estimated to be of Rs. 1,700 crores or so. more

Dear Sir, Your observations may be 100% correct. Now a days we are not getting a detailed bill. We are getting long strip bill on the spot by the meter reader. Because of Covid, I did not bother much and paid on line. My a/c no is 5652440000. Name Jai Sharan. more

Sir, I have received your email and copies of bills. I am working on the issue as per my study, the consumers seems to be getting deceived by an amount of on an average of Rs. 600 per billing cycle and need to be taken under class action type. I am also in deliberation as to how the issue to be taken as to whether through individual complaint or filing a suit with National Commission or High Court. more
