Dear Sirs
I am 79+ a known case of diabetes & BP both under control with medicine.
In Dec.2015 after a cArdiac check up , certain changes were noticed in the 2nd stage of TMT .
During Angiography it was revealed fhat I am havig ARTERY BLOCKAGES 95 85&90% for which I took NONINVASIVE TREATMENT comprising of 35 sittings of EECP,20 infusions of EDTA , adopted Zero oil consumption regime + medicines& daily 45 mins of walk.
By the Grace of God I am fine.
In NOV.2016 I as advised to get done CARDIAC THALLIUM STRESS TEST , costing nearly Rs16K comprising of a dose of Thallium Nuclear Isotope & monitioring heart cobditionunder stress either By TMT or stress induced by Meducines.
I hv.my own fears & apprehensions of this test which may Over Stress the heart beyond revival .
Also the cost is very high .
I request valuable feed back / comments of experienced persons who might hv undertaken the test at my Age pl
Regards more

Dear Mr Deepak Seth , Thanks for your reassuring words . But after knowing details of the Test , I understand that the test consists of STRESSING the heart either by medication which costs around Rs14000/ or in case person can withstand TMT by TMT ie you have to pay for TMT test & the inclusive cost may be around Rs16-17000/ & the test showing assessment of heart by a camera after taking Thallium Radio Isotop is performed which hv . some side effects or may not have . But the net result is that one gets fresh nos ie if the actual Blockage % was say 95 % , then the result by Thallium Test may show a more accurate figure of say 90% or 100% BUT it is not a treatment but ONLY A DIAGNOSTIC EXPENSIVE TEST to show the Blockage which is established by Angiography either by Catheter or by CT Scan so what is the FUN in going for 3rd Diagnostic test which besides costs is risky as every now & then Stressing the Heart may not be desirable pl. May I have your views pl more
Due to Varicose veins, I am not able to walk at fast pace. I was advised to have a Cardiac thallium stress test. I found the test quite comfortable and in this also there are four stages as in TMT. The Doctor monitors every stage and depending on how your heart functions the Doctor decides whether to proceed to the next stage or not. Suggest you have a chat with your doctor and while you may be absolutely fine, it is better to get the test done. All the best. more
Mr Jain Do not go for test. Follow Dr Bimal Chhajer advice(i met him in 1995) & have Vinod Sahni home Remedy also. Forget all others. Remember yr follow God & enjoy. more
