Defective product,Chinese_make, launched on market:"Pigeon by Stovekraft Amaze Plus Electric Kettle

I bought this item recently in the local market at Chennai. The moment I started using it at home, the switch malfunctioned and the handle came off. When contacted, the Service Centre of the Company refuse to give me a replacement.Hence,I got zero value for a newly-bought item.

I feel this product should be banned in the market,as it's potentially unsafe for the consumer. This product does not carry the mandatory ISI mark. more

Avoid buying from local shops, instead buy from Retail outlets such as Croma, JIO, Reliance digital. Less headache. more
one should buy as far as possible domestically produced products since service will be available together with parts also .Chinese products should at all cost be avoided one because of inferior quality and noservice and then outgo of our precious foreign exchange. Our products do not find a place there so we should all stop buying products manufactured from china even though govt has imposed high customs duty they try to send it through other countries like vietnam/indonesia etc more
Buy local products of reputed companies. more
Government can ban import of inferior products of any origin,. However if buyer finds poroducts without without any quality warranty, buyer should not waste his money. Even many products of indian origin are sold without any warranty viz : many branded air conditioners, assambled systems, kettles and many more. It is futile exercisr debating on this issue. more
I too purchased a pocket mobile and found software defective. Cheap does not mean a quality. We suffer. They dump cheap reject worthy goods to fool us. more
