Defunct and Faulty Platform Display systems

I have had atleast 4-5 experiences in last 3-4 years where I have had to take my senior citizen parents (75+) from one end of the platform to other upon train arrival because display systems did not tell me where my coach is, or no information and the coach order was reversed. Just recently we experienced 2 different display systems displaying different information.

How is the passenger supposed to figure out. Please know that for many senior citizens its very exhausting as they are heart or orthopedic patients.

High time the senior officials make their parents travel in Indian Railways without the VIP treatment to understand what normal non vip people face and then fix it. more

I often wonder whether it is sooooo verrrry difficult for the Railway authorities to monitor their services to suit their customers experience..... The attitude of "I couldn't care less" must change in the mind of the service provider; only that would contribute towards changing public opinion ...... The Railways are there to provide facility; they must develop insight into what their clients expect of them....... more
I have experience the same issue as we are waiting to board train no-15708 on 2nd October 2018. Coach B1 was not display anywhere and we to have board with luggage. We had a very pathetic experience as had to run to from middle of the train to corner. more
While posting a complaint it is considered obligatory to give name or number of train, name of station and platform number. Without these details nobody in Railways bother to correct the system. Once details are given, the report reaches the concerned officers very fast and remedial actions are taken quickly to avoid reprisal from higher ups. more
Even the senior officials do not travel without VIP treatment. On the other day tihe train was stopped for some minutes for the official who came to catch the train late. It is impossible to think of treating sr citizens as such in railways more
