Delay in Implementation of RERA in UP
The central government has notified implementation of Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 with effect from 1st May, 2017 across the country. However, practically it cannot be implemented in U.P. as the state government has not yet established the regulatory authority. It's hard to understand why U.P. government is delaying the implementation of RERA which is expected to protect the home-buyers from atrocities of errant builders. RERA in its undiluted form is the only hope for the buyers and yet U.P. government is delaying its implementation. more
