Delayed justice in Consumer Courts
Consumers will always be cheated because guilty will be punished about five years later! more

The average time taken by District Forum is five years. If you are cheated by seller now the decision will come in 2022. This is the biggest discouragement to any Consumer. No matter how much aware Consumer you are you will think many times before going to such court. The cases where opponents fail to give any evidence in their support are also deliberately delayed instead of giving quick decision. In a case in Delhi District South-II the member in my case gave very odd logic - "You can't jump the que. There are many cases before you first we will clear them." She gave me next date after 8 months. Her next logic was equally odd, they are not able to decide because they don't have sufficient steno typists in their office. Even with sufficient merit in my case I am not able to get justice quickly because of these two reasons. None of them is my fault. Efforts are required to ensure that decision are made quickly so that the sellers think twice before cheating consumers. more
