Now the stubble burning is largely not there. Why is the air quality still so bad?? Everyone please look at attached and localcircles please connect this circle to Environment/Pollution Enforcement officials so we can report and they can act. more

Jhuggi in Khadar gaon or a posh illegal structures in colonies are inhabited by squatters on papers because no house tax is paid By coating illegal structures with marbles and presence of SUV outside the illegal mansions cannot make illegal structures convert to legal homes I won't blame the bribe culture which was prevailing during past 3 decades, when illegal structures were built without fear of authority Time is up now There's no money to Grease the palms because demonization has been a deterrent So far so good Only future will decide if illegal structures survive or humans survive despite illness like COPD more

The figure for Bangalore appears not-so-believable, but this is probably due to occasional rain that helps clean up the atmosphere. more

Somewhat strange that we hear no comments from the officials/technocrats who are currently working on the subject. They should be the ones in the first place to suggest a diagnose.....the question remains, whether they would be allowed to!!! more

generators, vehicular emission, proliferation of cab - are there major reason for spike in pollution. And time has come for central government to frame regulations in these space more

Nothing can be changed till we identify the real cause, vehicular pollution is main culprit in delhi NCR, pollution from engine exhaust plus dirt accumulated on roads is also created pollution as fine dust spread in air with turbulence created by fast moving vehicles.....marriages, cracker tandoors are minor contributor....yes people burniing plastic/ Tyre/ wood to beat cold also contributes... more
