Delhi: BJP 5, AAP 2; Harsh Vardhan is people's choice for CM - India Today Survey
AAP's Col Devender Sehrawat in South Delhi and Rakhi Birla in North West Delhi are in clear lead while the party's North East Delhi candidate Anand Kumar is in a neck-and-neck competition with BJP candidate and prominent Bhojpuri singer-actor Manoj Tiwari.
According to estimates, the Congress's vote-share in the national capital has gone down by a whopping 36 per cent, i.e. from 57.1 per cent in 2009 to a projected mere 21 per cent. While the vote swing in BJP's favour is marginal, from 35.2 per cent in 2009 to 42 per cent in 2014, which is an increase of 6.8 per cent.
An interesting find here, however, has nothing to do with the Lok Sabha polls. A record 27 per cent people surveyed want BJP's Harsh Vardhan to be the Chief Minister as against a mere 21 per cent people being in favour of Arvind Kejriwal.
This particular find may have a bearing in the upcoming Assembly polls here.
