Delhi Police - Good Move

The Delhi police has doubled the penalty fee for its men for violating traffic rules.
Also, to overcome complaints of corruption and misbehaviour against traffic policemen, they are procuring more body worn cameras. Currently, as many as 626 body worn cameras are with traffic police.

Bribery should also lead to immediate suspension of the traffic police personnel. more

I too respect Delhi Police but my Interaction has given me mixed experience. Officers below SHO level simply pay lip service, no actual action on ground. Seniors don't respond, unless one visits their office and one has to be lucky to meet them. Complaints to Commissioner's officer appears like post office, where the email is forwarded to the concerned officer / team but without the original complaint. So the recipient, asks again, what is your complaint ? My complaint about lost mobile in December 2018, not being perused, even after I have identified the culprit. In this digital age, it take 2 weeks or more for the paper to physically move from Constable to ACP-DCP office ! I can call it abatement to crime as the progress is at snails pace. Lost and found or recovered mobile website is not efficiently managed, updates are far and few, not maintained. more
feel first fifteen days should have been used for familiarization to the public about the new laws with the instructions to complete all the documents during this period. After that implementation should have started. Secondly, traffic police should stop the vehicle if there is violation of traffic rules line no helmet, seat belt, red light jumping etc. by the owner. Vehicles should not be stopped only to check the vehicle papers. There should also be provision for slap fines on the responsible persons where roads have pits, street lights are not working in the night, traffic signals are not working as these also play important roles in reducing road accidents. Lastly, as seen from various video being shared on social media platforms, traffic police has no business to slap the vehicle owner. Instead they should politely ask the vehicle owner to show the papers and if papers are not complete then issue challan. In any circumstances, they do not have the right to manhandle the vehicle owners or thumping the bonnet of the car with batton etc. They should not consider themselves above law. They should have human face. more
We will believe once undisciplined police persons are fined. Police has double standards and not trust worthy. ________________________________ From: Anamika Mehra Sent: Friday, September 6, 2019 12:47 PM To: pbsingh_1@hotmail.com Subject: "Delhi Police - Good Move" more
Traffic police must create awareness first and give chance to first timer Act may also have provision to ensure that wherever roads are bad. Agency shall be fine Where lights and pole are not proper placed .officer shall be fined All over Delhi on left turn are restricted and police keep hiding to challan Why left hand turn is not free Where act provides for same Above all we find whole traffic police on group are waiting for challan Are they meant for this only Nowhere we find any one of thm managing traffic and green lights time shall also I crease where traffic is more A t and traffic police from many Years has not able to increase speed limit 50 km limit very low more
