Delhi Power Crisis

Delhi CM has written to PM saying in 2 days Delhi could lose power.

How are people preparing? rich will move to DG sets? Will there be a diesel shortage soon.

Should Delhiites continue to pay taxes if this happens? Should we pay for misgovernance? more

Appears like politics is active over a problem that may or may not exist. more
Frustration against all is taken out generally and many issues raised and resolved. I am proud to be localcircles member more
Yes. This does give an opportunity to let steam out of your system. However even critical comments should be taken positively as nobody is perfect and we are still in learning curve. Kabir Das Ji had rightly said: Nindak niyare rakhiye, aangan kooti chavaay... more
Ashish first and Raja are not off mark. For any and everything people have tendency to blame Delhi Government. Here's a popularly elected Government which finds its hands tied by even Court which thinks LG should be above Local Government so if there's any problem why ask the CM? Ask LG instead. As for those who feel they are experts in giving political opinion, the polls have shown what people want. Wasn't the Centre at fault for claiming No Death happened due to Oxygen shortage when entire Delhi was gasping for breath. People were driving to Gurudwara in Indrapuram (Delhi-UP border) for Free Oxygen provided by the Gurudwara management. They have records of people who benefitted, ask them. more
No misgovernance. Delhi is quite well managed, with a highly educated chief minister, and somewhat electricity rates having been rationalised, and also a check on private usage of diesel generator sets, as these cause a lot of pollution. See the neighbouring state, already having power cuts in Ghaziabad district. Union government plays politics in wanting to rule Delhi, with the jumla double engine ki sarkar, but see how have their ruled state fared! To boot Modi invoked disaster management act last year for ruling over states when he imposed lockdown. Misgovernance with coal a central subject if at all squarely the centre's. more
The forum is a now seeming to be a platform for venting out frustration against Delhi Govt. (without minding the choice of words) instead of discussing real issues. Coal is a central subject. Has got nothing to with UT. Centre allocates the coal quota to states. Not only Delhi but other states also have requested Centre to gear up to meet coal demands as we are dependent heavily on thermal power generation. The post is also a piece of sensationalism. there is no shortage of Diesel. If you can afford it, pls. buy and use it. The Union Coal Minister has assured today there shall be no shortage though newspaper reports indicate otherwise. He has also said it shall take 3-4 days to sort out issues. more
Cent re Distributes Not allocates ..Delhi has ample taxes and reserves Why not buy ..besides Delhi has nothing to store in for coal more
