Delhi tap water has nonylphenol

A dangerous chemical Nonylphenol is being found in Delhi’s tap water, it damages Endocrine system. The female ovaries, male testes, and pituitary, thyroid, and adrenal glands are major constituents of the endocrine system. We dont want these damaged for us and our children.

Two years back I had raised this issue on localcircles and then consumer minister had back forth with Kejriwal.

Despite that we dont have tap water standards in Delhi or India. What is BIS doing.

People please share your view and LC your surveys can drive impact. Let us escalate this. Administrators are sleeping and we will suffer if we dont raise this. more

Don't drink directly the tap water. Boil it and cool it. It will become safe. Get Outlook for Android ________________________________ From: Amit Mishra Sent: Friday, July 8, 2022 12:24:47 PM To: bhatiakanwal@hotmail.com Subject: "Delhi tap water has nonyl..." more
Can't say anything about nonylphenol. However, all other parameters being the same, Kejriwal government has given 20,000 litres a month of water for free, at least. Quality just as before. Poor who had to queue up before tankers now get tapped water. None of them may be privileged enough to be on internet platforms complaining. Complaining all the time, our credibility diminishes. Water has been wasted by us privileged in using to wash vehicles with running water, when the same could have been used for irrigating trees and plants, thereby even helping the environment! Who will answer for that? One can easily clean our cars using a bucket full of water. Do we utilise rainwater harvesting techniques for conserving water? Deficient monsoons giving you a judgement on your actions. more
Thank you for raising this important matter. It might not surprise but Delhi administration has Double Standards of operation. The tap water of Lutyens Bungalow Zone where most of our representatives are accommodated has crystal clear water that does not require any further fikteration whatsoever, although I won't know about presence of Nonylphenol. So, if NDMC Zone of Delhi can have clean water why not the rest of the city? We need to start asking questions besides voting occasionally. Moreover, almost every home has to install a motor to suck water into their underground tanks as there is simply not enough pressure to reach upper floors. When there is no pressure why were 4-Floors allowed in the city. All these are very serious questions about which no one is asking. Thanks for raising this issue sir. more
The CM don't care because he promised water not the clean water. more
People of Delhi want free water, not quality of water. more
