Delhi testing less instead of more

https://t.co/C2bZOJriZ9 The two markets were ordered to shut down till November 30,...the order was withdrawn within hours as Delhi government's proposal for regulation of markets amid the pandemic was pending with the Centre. WHY IS THE PROPOSAL FROM DELHI GOVT TO CLOSE CONGESTED AND VIOLATING MARKETS STILL NOT CLEARED BY THE CENTRAL GOVT? THIS IS A SERIOUS IMPEDIMENT IN CONTROLLING THE SPREAD OF THE INFECTION. more
The number of reported Covid-19 cases should be seen in comparison to the number of tests conducted. As an arithmetic example: If 6k cases test positive out of 30k persons tested, then it is 20% positive cases. But, if 6k cases test positive out of 100k persons tested, then the percentage comes down to 6 only. The second example is naturally more encouraging. more
Controlling the pandemic is primarily the duty of the chief minister concerned. Kejriwal keeps dillying dallying in taking tough action. He said he's taking permission to shut markets to stop overcrowding. After taking permission he goes and assures market associations that he will NOT shut markets! Why is he afraid of taking strong action? Is he more concerned with being popular? Nero fiddling while Rome is burning. more
Crowding still an issue, drive to free up Delhi's Sarojini Nagar market https://t.co/VwvMdRAmdl OVER 100 DAILY COVID DEATHS IN DELHI. Temporary shutdown of still overcrowded markets only solution to cut these widespread transmission chains of infection and save lives. Local Circles should URGENTLY approach L-G Delhi, Chief Minister Delhi and Delhi Disaster Management Authority. And Union Home Minister. more
Don't expect anything from Kejriwal except TV advertisements on 10-15 channels and repeated 10-12 times a day on each channel. He can spend public money there. If he spends on more tests then from where he will get money for the advertisements? more
It is important that the Delhi Disaster Management Authority headed by L-G Delhi exercises greater authority and the Union Home Minister can also be approached. After all Delhi is the Capital of the country and the Centre has authority over the Union Territory. Cutting deaths is of primary importance. Delhi is host to all patients from other parts of the country because of its UT status and as Capital of the country. How can more ICU Beds be made available to serious Delhi patients? The Centre must directly deal with this issue. more
