The idea to mark diesel vehicle with orange sticker on dashboard and green sticker for cng petrol is a good one. It must be done via the pollution check network and no new set up should be created for it.

Both postings appear to be right in their own rights. However, these do not vouch for the versatility of the Indian police officials. Are the traffic police officials really that dumb or untrained that one section of them would have learnt to challan one type of traffic offence only? Amazing......this our Indian bureaucracy!!! more

How did you get the impression that Police is not trained to demand PUC certificate . The problem is that Police bosses give orders on phases & down below they act accordingly . We all must have notice that for few days there will be checking for helmets then for speed limits, then for breaking traffic lights, then for vehicle being on zebra crossing etc etc .During phase of helmet checking concentration is fully on helmets & policemen don't take action on any other offences . When & how will our able policemen become all rounders . Regarding odd - even , if it was not successful because of police as reported in media, be rest asuured changing colours of stickers will not help too . more
