Dengue declared epidemic

Karnataka Declares Dengue as Epidemic Disease, Imposes Penalties for Violations!

Fresh rules direct property owners & occupiers of land or buildings to take measures to prevent mosquito breeding. This includes water tanks, parks, playgrounds & more must be kept clean & mosquito free

Penalties to be imposed for non-compliance 👇🏽
*Urban areas: ₹400 for mosquito breeding, ₹1,000 for commercial establishments, offices, schools & vacant sites
*Rural areas: ₹200 for mosquito breeding, ₹500 for commercial areas, ₹1,000 for active or abandoned construction sites

Competent authority granted powers to levy penalty if mosquito menace is not dealt with on the said property more

To whom government will penalize for dumping garbage on road side, Marshalls are not seen anywhere, auto tipper drivers demand money otherwise they don't take the garbage. Government should first check their own contractors/ officials. Illegal borewells are common feature so also high rise 4-5 floor building on small plots against the rules but BBMP officials are too satisfied. more
Govt instead of removing the wastes dumped on the road in various locaties which needs to be removed which they do not speak off but talk of putting fines .Actually fines should be imposed on bbmp for not doing its word and shirking away from their responsibility more
Some one give us more details of how to prevent the Dengue mosquito Aedes aegypti biting . Like to clarify some facts. We know they breed in fresh water only; so we can have an eye on the stagnant rain water. Aedes aegypti can't fly high. Dengue affected lose Platelet count drastically. Dengue affected take at least 3 months to recover. more
