Dental Ptoducts and Services Standards
Some time back in this circle there was feedback being sought on hospital services for standards.
In dental industry, there is lack of standards, which filling, which crown, which anaesthesia and charges are whatever they feel like.
End result, customer is overcharged and cant argue. If they charge less they use some cheap fillings.
Can BIS advise if there are standards for fillings crowns etc and similarly standards for services are needed. more

We need to have relevant stds and more than that how to create awareness of the std and also make the doctors follow it.Is there a std globally which in india can be used or tweak it to suit our eating habits more

A variety of such queries have been raised by members of different Local Circle chapters over the last several years. I wonder sometimes whether these have not reached the addressed authorities, or are the prone to turning a deaf ear to providing solutions..... After all, how long will the patience of the public tested? Must it come to what the doctors did in the country during the last week? That would be a black mark on the government, wouldn't it? more

It is very much true since earlier we did not have so many dental hospitals or even clinics were also rare.Nowadays with the food habits we see so many of them around us .It is our own creation. more
