Amazed at how the country's resources police para military are put to use when we have episodes like dera verdict ( two states shut down) tax payer money spent like this.
If this money/resources were used to create jobs, wouldnt we be better of as a country.. more
I completely agree. This is certainly not common in most other parts of the world. We are a nation that has no sense of the 'public' since anything beyond our own four walls is seen to be not our responsibility. We are happy to keep our houses clean by dumping rubbish on the road. Our religious 'leaders' (of all hues) have cynically built upon this mentality for their own gain. The resources being devoted towards dealing with the aftermath of the verdict could have been used towards provided clean drinking water, functional medical facilities and operational schools. more
Knowing Haryana's track record, it is likely that paramilitary is deployed not for safety of citizens, but for safety of the Dera Chief & followers. more
This is not the question of wastage of money. In India it is common phenomena and we Indians always give low priority to Security and Safety. All Forces (Para, Army and Police) are formed to protect the Nation, National property and fundamental right of citizen. Looking the vulnerable situation on the verdict, it is duty of the Administration to take all necessary preventive measures to avoid unwanted situations. Haryana Government already failed to calculate the risk in past when Jat Moment and Rampal Arrest happened. Furthermore it is not India where such thing happens like some people criticize. It is common in all over world where small or big democracy exist. Be it UK, France, USA. more
These police/paramilitary is created to tackle such issues only, they get deployed and protect the national property. I know what you are saying is absolutely correct and that requires someone to ask DERA followers not to create issues and destroy any public property etc as thats our tax-money ... Can we do that? I am sure, if we come face to face any dera supporter, we will not even talk on this subject to avoid any faceoff. more
