Developing India's Heritage and Culture

India has rich heritage, history, culture, festivals, traditions and a lot more. However, many of such elements of India are yet to be recognized and celebrated globally. Yoga is a great example that is now becoming globally relevant.

With this post we would like to seek your inputs on what are some of the top 5-7 things that India should develop, create awareness about and engage the world in.

We will share the same with Ministry of Culture & Tourism and other stakeholders so actions can be taken.

We look forward to your inputs! more

Before moving in this matter, the Govt.of India should study the perfect records of history ,culture, etc sothat it should not be blamed by any caste, religions, etc. To begin with the Govt should public books on our Deshbhakts i.e Aror the Raja Dâhir,Gahrwals of Kanauj, the Paramaras of Malwa and the Chauhans of Ajmer., Chandellas, Prithviraj Chauhan,Rani Jhansi,Bhagat Singh, etc. The books should be circulated on patriotic leaders from Class-I to VIII when the children are not having big loads of particular stream. more
To save our Heritage: 1....Bring the Mother of all language -SANSKRIT in all our schools along with the studies of BhagwadGita. 2....Revitalise all our temples by implementing a special and the strictest plan of Cleanliness. Provide at least good and affordable eating place with good health standard. Remove all unnecessary and harassing con men and vendors. Have a well maintained licensed businessmen obeying laws. Provide a clean source of running - drinkable, purest water. 3....Revise and review all our books of curriculum through out all standard - specially History of Bharat [not infested with pages and pages of Mogul glory and British rule destroying the credibility of our great people] In the map of Bharat J&K should have the same colour as the rest of the states. One Bharat, the Akhand Bharat! 4....Bring Khadi Vastra Back in style and discourage the western clothing exposing body parts unnecessarily ! 5.....We have a vast heritage of our Music which is now buried under western, latin and fusion style (copied - nothing original) Here our Musical Heritage, Classical Dances and prolific literature dying. we must revive it.All must start from the grass root teaching. more
"bhavishya bachao" should be something we need to add just like our beti bachao. i know a few like kailash satyarthi are working in this direction but we need more. we see so many child beggars, mostly mutilated and abused and there is no way out for any of these. What all we do walk past them everyday as we are our self helpless with gangs operating behind most of these. i dont understand if the nation can provide for sewing machines for the juvenile criminals as in case of nirbhaya, why this nation cannot shoulder the responsibility of its own children who are forced to beg. we can appoint marshals in buses and metro then why cannot we appoint a few more at the stands and the stations where maximum number of these children are seen. please help.. as there is a lot that can be achieved by just guiding them in right direction, providing them with knowledge and skill will not only reduce the crime rate but will add to the much needed enhancements in the future we are looking at... This should also giving boost to all regional languages and cultural language like Sanskrit etc...like having dedicated institutions giving certificate courses on them... more
Importance of Preservation of heritage and culture should be taught to young persons from the school days. Efforts should be made on this count. The awareness about these should be taught to older/middle aged where ever necessary as people are not paying any interest on these things. more
