Devices becoming bimba
As we saw in Lebanon how pagers and walkie talkie were exploded by the israelis, devices will be used for surveillance and attacks of different kinds in the not so far future.
Medical devices such as pacemakers, hearing aids, and implanted prosthetics; modes of transportation like airplanes, automobiles, and trains; and household appliances like refrigerators, ovens, and toasters are all part of fifth-generation warfare. All smart gadgets, or ‘Internet of Things’ devices, not only enhance surveillance but can also be easily turned into weapons against humanity.
India must think through access and data protection including certification of manufacturers.
No gadget made outside India should be permitted in country in say 2 years and all Indian manufacturing units (including those owned by foreign companies) must go through serious audits. more

Lebanon pagers and its equipments were apparently targeted because their use was already compromised. more

Its a technology affect. We should be prepared to accept pros & cons of of the fast growing technology. Did Lebanon imported the Pagers & Walkie Talkie from an unfriendly country ? Reportedly, about 3 grams of explosive was found implanted inside each of the pagers ,which was unlikely to be an act of the manufacturer(s)! more
