We need a Half page advertisement about maintenance/repairs of all sick bridges in kolkata and districts. It proves once again that we only responds after a disaster has taken place. more

The root cause of failures is the continued apathy of maintenance staff. With no heads rolling, and blame game going on, situation can at best worsen. When engineering, technology, and administrative issues are politicized, failures follow, and blame games continue. Public suffers. WB government must be comprehensively pulled up for negligence, lack of responsibility, and lack of accountability. more

Why only Dhakuria, others are also in the danger zone. Like Bijon Setu, Maniktala, Ultadanga bridge etc. With the present level of maintenance, every likelihood to collapse.
