DHBVN bill received after due-date
Hi,
My mother lives in Faridabad, Sector 21D and she received her Electricity bill after the due date. What are her options and who should we contact to avoid paying the late-payment charges.

Mr Jindal Now if u pay bill online without penalty they will treat as part payment and penalty will be added as arrears. more

Mr. Jindal, it is not so much about awareness of rights, but the fact that a 75 yr old lady has to go door to door trying to fix issues that should not have been there in the first place. more

If u are aware of your right make a grievance at site and pay your bill online, it may that there is no penalty more

Thank you all for your advice. I have sent an email to the area SDO yesterday, but have not yet received a reply from him. I did not mark the XEN but did write in my email that I will reach out to him if required. My mother will also try and visit the location office to resolve this. The one big challenge with online payments is that you cannot pay online if it is more than Rs. 22,000. For no particular reason, the bills for my house fluctuate between 12-25K when the residents and the electricity usage remains constant. The saddest thing is that the Honbl. Chief Minister himself holds the Power portfolio and DHBVN is probably the second or third most corrupt and inefficient department, after HUDA and the MCF. more

First check other resident nearby has also received late then takeup with area sdo. If only she has received late nothing can be done. In future suggested by Rajiv u can track on epayment dhbvn with yr account no can pay bill online. Iam doing this way. more
