Discrepancies surface in BJP's donation list submitted to EC.

Separate transactions with the SAME Cheque Numbers, Anonymous Contributions, and other discrepancies have emerged in BJP's contribution report for 2013-2014. The contribution report was submitted by the party to the Election Commission on 20 December 2014, almost two months after the October 31 deadline.

According to Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) which analyzed the report, there are three "pairs" of transactions that have the same cheque or demand draft number. Apart from the duplications, ADR drew attention to donations which have no corresponding names or addresses.

Cash donations form the major part of the leading national parties. Ones declared in this submitted report are hardly anything. And that too has discrepancies. Just imagine the amount of hard work that must have gone while submitting this report. In this BJP rule, I feel that every single day we are fooled both by the government and the great world-famous Indian Media. God knows when this BJP drama will end. Al least Congress was disciplined with only scandals and less drama, but this BJP rule is worse (only drama). What can one hard working SAAHIB (Modi Ji) do ? It needs many honest people to handle this ailing system. more
Giving Political Donations by cash should be banned and collection by Hundi/public contributions should be declared every one week to E.C.India. In cash any individuals/ companies / corporate want to donate above 1 crore rupees to any party, they must be allowed to do so only through CHEQUES openly and inform the E.C.India immediately. more
When the submitted report (which must have been thoroughly reviewed) can have discrepancies (or dubious transactions), then what else to expect. Before Delhi elections, there was huge debate on why the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) did not validate the financial standing of the companies who donated via cheques. For that AAP issued clarification saying that as per the standard parameters they did validate their sources of white money. AAP party's demand that independent audit should be carried for all these political parties, is hence justified. more
