Discussion # 1 - Key Railway Issues affecting citizens
1. How to reduce fake waiting list? (as we came to know from news papers that agents booked confirmed fake tickets in bulk without cancelling & then issue last moment WL tickets to their customers & strangely adjust them on these ‘NO SHOW’ seats?) Either WL passengers not allowed to board more than the capacity of General Coach?
2. At counters issuing General tickets, separate counter for last one hour departing trains, as most of the passengers reaches platform in last minutes.
3. Railway/ IRCTC may allow onward journey reservation facility on a single ticket for superfast trains, as direct weekly mail/ express trains are insufficient.
4. Increasing AC coaches as per demand.
5. Optional Seat selection facility on additional charges like in budget airlines.
