Do not buy Lenovo Tablets

We purchased Lenovo S8 tab from Flipcart during May 2015. It was dropped by accident and the screen was broken after 2 weeks of its use. Since then we are made to run around pillars to posts to get it repaired. No results even after 2 months of chase.

The reply from executive director's office is repeating its template based response every time I write to them

Dear Shashidhar,

We regret for the inconvenience caused and have escalated to the concerned team and the shall assist on the below case on priority.

Thanks & Regards,

For Executive Director - Services.

and the team at service desk again replies in a similar tone with an excuse that spares are not available for repair! They are unable to tell us when they would repair the unit.

It is really disgusting! more

You may suggest them to buy back the damaged tablet and supply a new one, if they are not able to repair it. You are to be amenable to repair / replacement at a reasonable cost, as dropping and breaking the product is your own creation. more
Should I take up the fight against Flipcart for selling an item not repairable or against Lenovo who disowns their own brand new product legally sold in India! more
Oops, it is the height of arrogance from Lenovo! more
My worry is the amount of time and money I spend to recover the investment of around 20,000/- on tablet. Otherwise, the aim is to fight against such malpractices against so called big brands. Actually, the device is bought as a strategic technology tool in support of a holiday startup. On one side our respected PM and his team is making all efforts to groom youngsters on entrepreneurship and on the other side, these big companies are insensitive to such small businesses and upcoming startups. The struggle of startups include fighting against telecom companies, critical service providers, and these monsters like Lenovo. more
you may exercise your right to approach the consumer court against the manufacturer as it is duty of the manufacturer to provide facilities for post sale services as per terms and conditions of the sale. more
