"do not lobby for ministerial posts" - Narendra Modi
He should make it clear to them that this Govt is not about money making for MPs but doing serious work for the country unlike the previous regime and we need Sevaks not Shasaks. Good chances some MPs are thinking, it will be good old time. Ain't going to be the case.

Prime minister-elect Narendra Modi's message to the new MPs is "do not lobby for ministerial posts". Modi, known to be his own man, has made it clear that he will take the call on his Cabinet members and hence suggestions or lobbying for posts would not be entertained.
Modi is learnt to have told a delegation of MPs from Karnataka who called on him on Sunday that even in Gujarat, he did not encourage lobbying for ministerial berths and there was no point doing it. With Modi staying in the Capital for the last two days, many MPs who are here to register with Lok Sabha and attend the parliamentary party meeting are trying to meet him. However, it has not been possible for Modi to meet all who came to see him.
In fact, Modi is learnt to have told the MPs from Karnataka led by B S Yeddyurappa and Ananth Kumar that there was nothing in ministerial posts, rather the parliamentarians should be making efforts to strengthen the party in their state, as there was much to do in the southern part of the country to improve BJP prospects. Modi's plans to make serious inroads in states like West Bengal and Tamil Nadu, where BJP does not have much support, are already being discussed in party circles.
Elaborating on his idea of extending BJP's footprints in the southern states, Modi is learnt to have told the Karnataka MPs that efforts should be made to create a "Congress-free India", which implied that BJP leaders should work to finish the Congress's influence in its traditional strongholds. Modi is learnt to have advised that Congress leaders should join the BJP camp, so that the party's organisation crashes and BJP replaces it. Clearly, Modi's expansion plans for BJP across the country seems to have started. more
