India imports Rs.800 Crore Agarbattis from China.
Why government is encouraging import of agarbattis by reducing duty from 30% to 5% in 2018?
What about Make in India ? Is manufacturing agarbattis requires high technology inputs not available in India?
Imports have led to loss of employment.
First it was idols of gods and now even agarbattis are being imported from other countries including China and Vietnam as per data from Khadi & Village Industries Commission.
We request Local Circles to bring this to the attention of FM & PM. more

We have Khadi & Village Industries Board , that produces a lot of woship accessory products .They couls be revamped , pumped with more funds . That is what we should do as Gandhiji adoring citizens . Now these imports of Agarbathis will stiffle the one Industry that replicats and keeps reminging us The Indians of the Father of the nation . Secondly it doesn't give a chance for cottage & illage Industries to develope or flourish but aids in making them perish . A SERIOUS MATTER TO BE TAKEN SERIOUS NOTE OF . Jai Hind . more

Please see my post of Aug 28, 2019: 'Is India becoming a Chinese puppet state?' in this circle. We should also hold the Banias who queue up to import these goods from China responsible for this. They are the main supporters of BJP and are specialising in stabbing this country in the back.
