DO WE HAVE A RESPONSIBLE GOVERNMENT IN TAMIL NADU ?

With the current account deficit and fiscal deficit amounting to several lakh crore of rupees in Tamil Nadu government’s finances, the financial position of the state is in precarious conditions. But, obviously, the Chief Minister and other ministers do not care about this disturbing situation, as the government is no man’s property. Why should they care as they may be in the government today and not in the government tomorrow.

Exhibiting highly irresponsible attitude , Tamil Nadu government is now distributing Rs. 1000/- in cash to lakhs of citizens including those who belong to middle and upper middle income group. Perhaps, upper income group also to some extent.

With coffers nearly empty , where does the government get the money from. Obviously, the government relies on tasmac sale income and number of liquor addicts are rapidly increasing in the state every day, causing serious damage to the social fabric. Tamil Nadu government do not care.

What is particularly shocking is that when the government throws away the money, many people in the affordable income group stand in the queue for several hours to get their Rs. 1000/- It is common to see people coming in the car or autorickshaws and collecting their pound of flesh from the ration shops. They also do not care that such money should be really spent on welfare activities. They can atleast refrain from collecting such free money which is not earned by them. They too are irresponsible.

For the last sixty years or so, under Dravidian rule, Tamil Nadu government have been squandering public money for non productive purpose, keeping vote bank politics in view. In 2019, it has reached a new peak.

Corrupted politicians with their money & muscle power buy the vote from the lower & middle class. Ironically, some of the well to do people also collect their share to vote. Same time, educated section of people do not cast their votes. This situation need to be changed!! Vote bank politics is not the need of the day, and the action plan need to start from the society! Ultimately corruption may naturally end. Let us organise awareness programs in the society to spread awareness about the value of their vote in nation building process. more
Freebies should be abolished more
I am really sad to see people who talk about poverty and poor people even after seeing news that people throng the Theatres and pay Rs 700/- to Rs 1000/- to view a movie. I have seen the faces of those people coming out of the cinema hall None of hem are worth earning Rs 500/- a day without hard working normally But the situations changed and now they demand Rs 250 minimum to visit your house for attending a plumbing work or tank cleaning (Normally we used to pay Rs 250/- for the cleaning work) Now no one is willing to come ecen for Rs 500/- Then how they earn their livelihood is a big question Rajini Ajith and Vijay were paid by our CM with this Pongal gift of Rs 1000/- and they earn in Crores None of us ever talk about it. Money just came and no one is bothered as to that should be spent. . Even Sasthrigal is riding a bullet worth a lakh and fifty and demand minimumn Rs 2500/ for which we were paying Rs 500/- to Rs 1000/- till the last two years This is more a problem for those who are retired and live without a pension. Age is not permitting to do all this tasks by ourselves more
