Not only that, it's out in the open today that pharma-firms join hands with doctors to reduce the maximum limits for cholesterol, or sugar, or BP and what not, in order to promote sale of their medicines. Favourite today is the Vitamin-D levels in humans! One hears about more than 70 per cent of world population deficient in Vitamin-D. Suddenly????? more

Friends, as I mentioned, I attended on 01.12.2017 the seminar organised by JustJobs Network and UNICEF for every child titled "From Education to Employment" with the intention of preparing South Asian Youth for the World of Work, and launched their report. I found the report worked up on the same lines as mentioned by me - skill development for promotion of business activities of the corporate world for more and more profit earning and capitalisation. I did not find the element of learning skills with the intention of promoting Unfair Business Practice in the entire manufacturing and marketing for which the youth is proposed to be prepared for - of course, for their self-employment as the bases of livelihood. I took up the issue that in the contents of the report there is no mention of education of the youth that whatever skills they are going to learn are meant to "sell" to the consumers - directly or indirectly - as per the Right to Education under Consumer Protection Act. They need also to be told that the youth themselves are the consumers who expect the same quality(best) of products and services they produce for their masters in the employment. So, I have emphasised the inclusion of Consumer Protection Education & Awareness as a part of the curriculum being developed for Unfair Business Practices in the skill development programme. more

This is what is educated in schools and colleges - how to make profits. This education of the day is what is recommended by the parents - to earn unlimited sum. This is skill development - manufacture test reports to suit the medical profession, hell with the patients and their families whether they sell themselves or their properties. Tomorrow (01.12.2017) there is a meeting on "From Education to Employability-Preparing South Asia’s Youth for the World of Work" being organised by JustJobs Network in collaboration with UNICEF, what should I speak for? Should I also say yes to, "The region’s young people offer the potential to drive its economies to be more vibrant and productive." What is the definition of vibrant and productive economy that I should push there - corrupt mind of the youth? more
they keep thinking how to earn much more more
