Doctors charging fees and no good treatment in Government hospital

It has been observed that the doctors are increasing there fees day by day and due to which normal people are unable to afford. They have made it as a business. If we go to Government hospitals like RML, Hari nagar Etc we find we find dirty beds, dirty environment and doctors do not treat patients as a human. In Aiims you will never chance to get admitted on time even though you are seriously ill.

Request you to please do something more

Doctors are most respectable in society. There still are some excellent doctors in charity hospitals.Even in Safdarjung hospital I have come across dedicated , soft spoken and excellent doctors . If such doctors can be projected as role models it could encourage the rest to come up to that standard. more
Dear Mr John, Pl do not accuse whole profession as public criminals. If you say so all advocates, chartered accountants, engineers, policeman, contractors, software people all are cheats. The Govt and public can join hands to take receipt for every transaction and make them pay service/ sales tax or VAT. You can first start taking proper receipts and bill for all services you take be it a kirana wala, lawyer or plumber. A doctor should also give you. As a private service provider, they have full right to charge a fee which they feel OK for their qualification and experience. (Same as any other profession in private). more
Agreed Sir but there has to be some limit a dhaba guy trying to charge like a 7 star hotel can never be acceptable just because that dhaba may boast of having an AC or something. There should be some upper limit to consultation fees and it should be displayed.Good renowned doctor cannot behave as if he has become a film star that just to consult one must pay exhorbitant fees. Not only doctors lawyers do the same infact it is worst.dates so many and chrge per date... more
To make a generalised comment on Medical community itself spells ignorance and a poor educational background. When you go out to eat food you pay differently in a Dhaba, in a restaurant and again in a Hotel depending upon the stars. Why single out medical community. Do you know what it takes to become a Doctor? How many years and how much time. It is only this community who may leave their own near and dear ones to fulfil the needs of a sick patient at any hour of the day or night. If you think they are criminals then why do you go to them? There are public facilities provided by the government, go there and get yourself treated. You will also learn that an average Doctor pays more tax than what you can think off. Your job is to seek a receipt of the amount paid and not make such baseless allegations. I do wish that you may need one in an emergency and change your opinion after getting looked after. Doctors are called Bhagwan by their patients when they are sick, and the same individual calls them Insan after they get better. Once the bill is served on them they call them Shaitan! You must understand that only a very small amount goes to the Doctor of what you pay in the Hospital. He gets every payment post TDS deductions. Suggest change your opinion or pray meeting a Doctor in an emergency and see how you feel. Best wishes. Dr.P.N.kakar more
Most of the doctors can be categorized as public criminals - they think think they have the permanent license to cheat the public and get away from paying taxes - its high time that the Govt. should monitor their income and the spendings... more
