Does FSSAI have an intent to serve citizens

I have been in this safe and nutritious food circle for 3 months now.

One idea thats occured to me is why doesnt fssai connect all its food safety officers to the circle and if a resident of chandigarh posts an unsafe food issue, automatically the Chandigarh food inspector acts on it and addresses and lets local community know.

There are only two reasons to not do this 1) bribery and vested interest/cuts being taken from business in license/inspection or 2) fssai management is inefficient and doesnt understand social media.

Let us escalate this to PM Modi or whatever minister fssai reports to so atleast such steps are taken or people are told that govt is reluctant because of xyz reasons. more

FSSAI is not having a strong back ground and field staff. With the information from the circle members, they want to do their activities. more
There are preventive intelligence wings in all Govt. departments. They are suppose to collect intelligence from all sources/any available and submit report to proper officer fort action. It is failure of entire FSSAI , since no action is being taken. Forum may like to ask Govt. to nominate officer from the Deptt. to be contacted by the forum for sending intelligence we have. The said officer should be liable to report action taken and the result more
Even though we all are talking about the corruption but it is also a true belief that this Govt is also not serious on the issue of corruption. Whosoever is the PM, any unethical business is the base of the corruption. Anyone violating any code of ethics is also equally corrupt. While the Govt. itself is corrupt and we hoping a corrupt free country is like staying in fools paradise. We ourselves are also corrupt and most of us prefer to pay convenience fee voluntarily to get favors. In my view if we are feeling that the Govt. officials would join the circle and take action based on complaints written here, it will be a futile thinking. If those officials are determined to work, they would have looked into the complaints being registered on their website. Illogical regulations further add fuel to the fire. We ourselves need to dedicate not to bribe any one for getting any favor, if at all we are interested in handling the menace of corruption. more
If all govt officers do their duty 100%, most of the problem going to be resolved. more
Yes, any Govt. institution can share the experience as per rules, but it needs to be fully proved, till that time rules don't permit to share. Perhaps FSSAI needs to be well framed to deal such issue in a broader manner to improve it's outreach the consumers. more
