Does FSSAI test imported products

Heavy metals have been found on Lindt chocolates.

My question is does FSSAI Indias food regulator test these products before they are approved for import?

Whole country even in tier 3 towns were gifting these chocolates for Diwali and now we find this

This is truly shocking and alarming too. Failed to understand how such adulterated products are allowed to import. India is slowly becoming a dumpyard of all wasteful baskets. It's heyland now, anyone can push the substandard materials. No one really cares for consumers. Competent authority is perhaps in sleeping mode. more
Tree to Bar is the solution to this visit " tree to Bar " website and purchase chocolates from there , they are totally Indian, natural with no additives more
I don't think so. FSSAI even do not test all indigenous products which is a cause of concern. more
This is culture of our country,we repair the pitholes on the road when someone meets with accident,we ban the medicine when some one gets its bad effect,India subcontinent is the only subcontinent in the whole world where food adulteration is so visible ,no where it is found even in the poorest country of the world.why not Testing laborataries is opened in every city & town so immediately it is tesyed.why not law are made strict,so people,s life can be made more healthy. more
