Does the budget really reduce taxes

A chartered accountant friend has sent me the attached math. Can the pro budget 2020 experts of this circle please take a look and help me understand how the personal income tax “new regime” help the middle class pay lower taxes. Help me shoot holes in this calculation. more

No the government just fooled the public what they did last year is same. more  
See the changing colors of the BJP Government. Last year they were talking about abolishing IT altogether so that people have more spending power. And now they want to Tax even the 5,00,000 salaried people and milk everybody. Well Mr.Dutta there has been a lot of shooting by people who seem to find buying guns very easily despite Income Tax and Arms rules and most economists have already shot and drilled holes in this non-populist budget. more  
Does the taxable dividend only above ₹10 lakhs still hold ? more

With the new system does it mean that the manadatory contribution to the provident is done away for the salaried class. Even if you do contribute to the provident fund will the interest earned is non taxable. more
